the power of time
A zoom into particulars mechanics.
Rolls Royce engines for powerful turbines of aeroplanes, reweaves an horror vacui in its interpretation difficult to reduce to its original models. At the end forms and colours are the most important values of the images contextures suggested by Małgorzata Basinska in this series of photos made in 2014. The mechanical subject appears to refer to futurist avant-garde, but she seems more to be inspired by the “cubiste” painter Fernand Léger. Naturally it’s a pretext: the artist shows interest to be able to express, in these elements she refers, a kind of solution always inherent art both in the painting and in photography. She is keeping their fundamental value of the structure, the chromatic balance and correspondence, the deepness and a way of perspective, lines and indications which lead inside the composition. Some values that stay indissoluble in art in whatever way they can be delivered, still and priority for ever.

THE BODY SPACE
The photography by Małgorzata Basinska "THE BODY SPACE" was taken in Oslo, strictly speaking in a very chic city district - Akker Brygge. That work is one of a kind and is part of a larger series that shows post-industrial architecture adapted for modern times. Akker Brygge is a completely restored district that is constantly developing. The photograph comes from a newly opened shopping centre. More than 20 million visitors each year pass through Akker Brygge.
In this abstractly unrealistic composition Małgorzata Basińska captured: mirrors, reflections, and space – manifesting itself in vertical divisions giving rhythm to the composition while at the same symbolising traces of human existence full of stunning impressions always experienced in such a special place, which maintains continuity of tradition and adaptation of this particular architecture for the needs of the contemporary vibrant city.
Although this photograph does not reflect post-industrial architecture, it comes from an enormously fascinating district of Oslo, a district that is an indispensable source of inspiration for the artist.
"Being determines consciousness", Marx once said - "THE BODY SPACE" – the space in which we live is constantly changing – but the need for space remains the same. Millions of tourists are looking for new impressions thus expanding their own experience of their own unique space. This is a purely psycho-physical need which is difficult to satisfy if you are curious about the world.
Fotografia autorstwa Małgorzaty Basinskiej "THE BODY SPACE", została wykonana w Oslo, a dokładniej, w bardzo modnej dzielnicy - Akker Brygge.
